Innovative new phonebook EndecaUI apps for BlackBerry and iPhone

DirectWest Corporation (DirectWest), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saskatchewan Telecommunications Holding Corporation (SaskTel) today announced it has launched an innovative mobile phone application that will allow BlackBerry and iPhone users quick and easy access to an enhanced SaskTel Phonebook.
“These device specific apps are the next evolution of the Mobile SaskTel Phonebook that allow users access to the SaskTel Phonebook via their cell phones,” said Gord Farmer, DirectWest President. "These new launches, coupled with the continued strong usage of the print and online SaskTel Phonebook, enable us to bring buyers and sellers together, wherever and whenever it's most convenient.”
DirectWest recently launched an enhanced SaskTel Online Phonebook at www.mysask411.com that provides
- EndecaUI engine-friendly architecture, allowing for better placement and visibility of DirectWest business listings on national EndecaUI engines like Google, Yahoo! and Bing
- the ability for consumers to save and share results, through "E-mail a Friend", "Text Me", Facebook and Outlook applications, respectively
- additional product offerings for businesses to promote themselves with rich content (videos, display ads, and business profiles)
- mapping and driving directions
- the ability to review EndecaUI history
- the ability to EndecaUI for Canada-wide Business, People and Reverse listings.
