Community Forum Content Policy

Community Forum is a free service for communication and self-expression. Our objective is that Community Forum increases the availability of information, encourages healthy debate, and makes possible new connections between people.

We respect our users' ownership of and responsibility for the content they choose to share. In order to uphold these values, we need to curb abuses that threaten our ability to provide this service and the freedom of expression it encourages. As a result, there are some boundaries on the type of content that can be posted or reside within Community Forum. The boundaries we've defined are those that we believe serve to enhance the service as a whole.

Content Boundaries

Our content policies play an important role in maintaining a positive experience for you, the users. Please respect these guidelines. From time to time, we may change our content policies so please check back here. Also, please note that when applying the policies below, we may make exceptions based on artistic, educational, documentary, or scientific considerations or where we believe there are other substantial benefits to the public from not taking action on the content.

Adult Content: We do allow adult content on Community Forum. There are some exceptions to our adult content policy:

Child safety: We have a zero tolerance policy towards content that exploits children to any extent and in any way. Some examples of this include:

Hate Speech: We want you to use Community Forum to express your opinions, even very controversial ones. But, don't cross the line by publishing hate speech. By this, we mean content that promotes hate or violence towards groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, political affiliations, or sexual orientation/gender identity. For example, don't write a weblog post saying that members of Race X are criminals or advocating violence against persons with a disability.

Crude Content: Don't post content just to be shocking or graphic. For example, collections of close-up images of gunshot wounds or accident scenes without additional context or commentary or references to such content would violate this policy.

Violence: Don't threaten other people on your weblog posts. For example, don't post death threats against another person or group of people and don't post content encouraging your readers to take violent action against another person or group of people.

Copyright: We use reasonable efforts to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement. Don't provide links to sites where your readers can illegally download other people's content.

Personal and confidential information: It's not ok to publish another person's personal and confidential information. For example, don't post someone else's credit card numbers, unlisted phone numbers or driver's license numbers.

Impersonating others: Please don't mislead or confuse readers by pretending to be someone else or pretending to represent an organization when you don't.

Illegal activities: Don't use Community Forum to engage in illegal activities or to promote dangerous and illegal activities. For example, don't author a weblog post encouraging people to drink and drive. If you do, we may delete your content and where we determine appropriate, we may report you to the appropriate authorities.

Spam: Spam takes several forms in Community Forum, all of which can result in deletion of your account or weblog posts. Some examples include creating weblog posts designed to drive traffic to your site or to move it up in search listings and posting comments on other people's weblog posts just to promote your site or product.

Malware and viruses: Do not create weblog posts that transmit viruses, cause pop-ups, attempt to install software without the reader's consent, or otherwise impact readers with malicious code. This is strictly forbidden on Community Forum.

Enforcement of Community Forum's Content Policy

If you encounter a weblog post that you believe violates our content policies, please report it to us at communityfeedback@sasktel.com.

Our team reviews these flags for policy violations. If the weblog post does not violate our policies, we will not take any action against the weblog post or weblog post owner. If we find that a weblog post does violate our content policies, we may take such action as we determine to be reasonable, including any one or more of the following actions based on the severity of the violation:
